Pretty late, but here are my drawings of day 2's shark (the Bramble Shark)
Decided to do a marker/color pencil sketch. Still don't like how the colors are scanning:

These are amazing! I'm experiencing the same effect. Stuff I scan in looks way more vibrant in person than as a digital file. Are we just spoiled by digital color? I don't know.
