P.S. This week's drawing challenge is a tough one. We ended up with "Insecure Spam." Interpret that as you like. Also keep in mind that this is not specifically a character design challenge. I can't wait to see what people come up with this time...

"Diabetic Teacup Pigs" (Weekly Drawing Challenge)

We're trying to start up a weekly drawing challenge among friends here at work. The talented Le Tang and I drew a random adjective and a random noun of coffee cups and the challenge of the week ended up being "Diabetic Teacup-Pig." For those of you who don't know what a teacup pig is, behold!:

I made a couple of pizzas last night (yum!) While I was prepping the toppings, I was an idiot and did this (boo!):

 

I know it's not a huge deal but I haaaaaate it when this happens. Oh well. At least the pizzas turned out tasty.

Spidey Dates (For Stu)

Thanks everybody for the positive responses to the Ladybug! She's really fun to draw and I'm definitely going to have to do something more with her in the near future. For now, here are a couple of quick drawings of Spider-man on dates with Roach Woman, Lady Caterpiller, and Bumble-Babe inspired by this comment by Stu:

I went to gesture drawing last Wednesday. At some point during the session, our model donned a mask. For reasons unknown to me, I started drawing her as a crime-fighting ladybug:
