On Saturday I had the privilege of going to the Wildlife WayStation with Alice Herring, Carrie Liao, and a group of other artists. It was a pretty amazing experience--I've never had the chance to see these animals at such close range before. Here are a couple of sketchbook pages from the day:
Nala the lioness
And a pair of grizzly bear sisters.
The three of us had so much fun at the WayStation we were thinking of doing an LA zoo drawing day in a couple of weekends. If anyone else is interested, please let us know and we will post details in the coming weeks :)

Count me in for a zoo trip! The waystation sounds super cool, It'd be awesome if the public could visit and draw from there more frequently.
