The Drawing Club--Tron Theme

It's been a couple of years since I last stopped by the Drawing Club. I'm pretty out of practice and almost didn't end up going, but I happened to read an inspiring blog entry by the amazingly talented, ever insightful Dave Pimentel. I'm really glad I ended up going because despite the initial feelings of insecurity and rustiness, I ended up having a lot of fun.

Americana Doodle Dump

Some Wednesday nights, a few of us go sketching at the Glendale Americana after work. Here are some sketchbook pages from yesterday's outing... Check out Stu's drawings here!

I saw the pink, velour parachute-pants clad woman in the parking garage when we arrived. I wish I had that kind of confidence:

Sketched these guys in Barnes and Noble. The man waiting in line for his coffee did in fact appear to be fondling his own behind for an uncomfortably long period of time. To each his own.:

Kiki-Stu and some other Barnes & Noblemen:

Today I went to gesture drawing class (led by the super talented Dave Pimentel). Here are a couple of drawings from today's session:

Also check out some far-superior sketches from today's session over at Rad's blog.
